Susan Bierly is a business owner, entrepreneur, networking consultant, coach, professional speaker, trainer and an expert on networking. With over 27 years as a business owner, 35 years as a sales trainer and 30 years of networking experience, Susan is fortunate to be able to follow her passion and add owner of MasterMind Professional Development to her list of accomplishments.

Susan has empowered countless numbers of people to go from “Good to Great and Great to Excellent” by “Mastering the Possibilities.” She brings her experience and infectious energy to every encounter –through MasterMind Professional Development Networking, personal networking, mentoring, workshops, or personal consulting, Susan’s dynamic leadership style is inspirational, motivational and fun! She firmly believes your success is her success, and it shows!

Susan’s experience in networking and sales has not only helped in building her companies, but also with training and coaching thousands of sales professionals and business owners throughout the years. She managed health clubs for 10 years and trained many of the most successful sales people in the industry.

As owner of MasterMind Professional Development, Susan provides business consulting and conducts Networking Workshops, Seminars, Coaching, Corporate and Individual Training. She has been a guest speaker at a wide variety of social and networking functions such as Empowered Women International, Business Network International, Kiwanis, eWomenNetwork, Frederick Community College, Total Move Solution, Tower Club and Urban Land Institute. In addition, she has been a consultant for companies like Gold’s Gym, Haws / Brita® and many Washington area businesses. She has published articles in Smart CEO, Entrepreneurial TP, and The Networking Advocate and is working on her first book on networking. Susan was a founding member of The CORE Networking, LLC.      

Susan is President of IMC Water Coolers, a woman-owned company established in 1988 by Susan and her husband. IMC Water Coolers is dedicated to providing a “green” alternative to bottled water. The company does not advertise and depends on networking, referrals and repeat business for its continued success. Networking has been responsible for over 90% of IMC’s new sales. IMC Water Coolers’ clients include National Parks Service of the Nation’s Capital, Georgetown University, INOVA Hospital, Congressional offices and General Dynamics.

Susan has a strong passion in helping others through mentoring, training and volunteering. Her success, is in part due to others guiding and directing her throughout her career and feels volunteering and supporting organizations is one way she can give back to her community. Susan commits to the philosophy of “paying it forward” and has a sense of pride volunteering with organizations like NFTE, Luke’s Wings, and Community Bridge’s Career Summit. She supports Relay for Life, Backpack for Students, and many of her client’s charities. One of her proudest accomplishments is mentoring a young high school girl who was struggling daily with school, family and life. This young person has since cemented strong relationships with her family, graduated from high school with honors and is attending a local college, enrolling in their Honors program with plans to study Bio-Med. She has interned at Bethesda Naval Hospital and Johns Hopkins.

Susan is from Louisville, Kentucky and is one of eight children. She has been married for 31 years and has two grown (awesome) children.
